As the Coronavirus develops in China, the hotel industry is quickly responding to housing needs for medical workers on the frontline by creating the Wuhan Hotel Support Alliance. This Alliance provides free, safe and convenient accommodations for medical workers at the frontline, and the response has been amazing. Currently, there are 271 hotels in Wuhan and 47 more participating in the program, and, as of February 3rd, the Alliance has granted over 40,000 nights of accommodations to more than 6,000 healthcare workers.
As a leader in travel technology, DerbySoft is eager to do its part to support Wuhan, the frontline medical personnel and the hotels. DerbySoft has directly donated money to the Alliance so it can hire professional companies to conduct a full range of disinfection and protective operations for the participating hotels. This allows the medical staff to stay as safe as possible and enables the hotels to get back to business quicker more rapidly.
Since the establishment of the Alliance, many hotel owners have invested a tremendous amount of manpower and capital, which has all been well-received and supported by the media and the industry. People continue to participate in the collection and distribution of hygienic items such as masks, gloves, sterilization tools, disinfecting lamps, protective medical clothing and air purifiers to the hotels so they can maximize the safety of the medical and hotel personnel.
Thanks to the Wuhan Hotel Support Alliance, everyone within the tourism industry will assist in the fight against this epidemic for the victims, frontline medical personnel and the hotels.
DerbySoft cares about the safety and security of our customers and employees and pledges to do its best to overcome this epidemic as quickly as possible.
