Job Summary

Lead and manage the efficient, innovative, sustainable and cost-effective IT infrastructure functions and services. In addition to Linux servers/network, this also includes database support, cloud infrastructure and hosted systems support and maintenance. The role ensures the IT Infrastructure functions and services are resilient, secure, well designed, accessible, and are adaptable to support DerbySoft’s business changing needs. A client-focused service excellence culture is essential, through leadership, consultation and management to ensure business requirements are delivered to high standards, agreed costs and on time.


    • Handle routine maintenance and troubleshoot unexpected issues
      • Identify and resolve issues
      • Handle escalation and communicate to management
    • Manage system engineers’ team to support product development
    • Regular technical training and knowledge sharing within the team
    • Conduct research on new technology, complete preliminary technical prototype implementation, and write corresponding technical documents
    • Follow established standards and change management policies
    • Propose optimized design for online infrastructure as well as the operation and maintenance automation solution
    • Cooperate with GRC department to complete compliance related tasks



  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supervising or leading a system operation and maintenance team
  • Demonstrated strong strategic thinking and communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills required. Mandarin speaker a plus
  • Proven ability to interface with a diverse group of people within a global setting
  • Able to work periodically outside of normal business hours as business needs dictate

Technical Competencies

  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Linux based environments
  • Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g.,Tomcat, Apache, NGINX)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining AWS cloud-based infrastructure
  • Experience with containerization (e.g., AWS EKS)
  • Experience with monitoring systems
  • Experience with automation software (e.g., Ansible, AWS CloudFormation)
  • Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
  • Familiar with PCI, SOC2, ISO27001 and other compliance frameworks
